1. Import Previous images onto system by using a USB, DVD or by Query retrieve directly from PACS.
2. Select patient from Patient View by double clicking over name.
3. Start a new exam.
4. Select Image History to view previous studies. Note: Compare Assistant is also accessible from Active Image Screen by using icon adjacent to clipboard. At anytime, select Compare Assistant icon to get in or out of Compare Assistant.
Comparing studies
1. From Image History Screen, select image from exam to compare and then select the Compare Key. OR
2. Select the Compare Assistant icon to the right of the clipboard to start Compare Assistant from main screen. Note: In image history screen . Select checkboxes adjacent to previous exams to be compared. These exams will show up as tabs within compare assistant shown by date of study. Up to 3 exams may be chosen to compare.
Clinical use
1. Follow-up Routine Exams and known pathology.
2. View prior exams side-by-side with a real-time ultrasound image so you can quickly identify the area of interest.
Compare Assistant screen
1. In Dual screen, the left side is the active image and the right side is the prior image.
2. Comparison image date will be seen at top of comparison image. Note: Active Image side can be changed by default.
Clipboard controls Select raw data copy control to determine which settings get copied from prior image.
• Green (automatic transfer on recall).
• Gray (manual transfer of image parameters or annotations).
1. Image parameters and annotations.
2. Only image parameters.
3. Only annotations.
4. Copy over all image parameters and annotations.
5. Copy only image parameters.
6. Copy only annotations.
7. Select for no image parameters. or annotations to transfer.
Tips and tricks
1. If you take a measurement on the previous image, the measurements will not transfer to the measurements worksheet.
2. Side-by-side cine clips can not be saved when in Compare Assistant. Only the clip from the active exam will save.
3. For Raw Data images, the annotations will be shown on the thumbnails on the Clipboard, Active Images and Image History screens.
4. The Body pattern rotary knob may be used to look through images from the previous study, Move the rotary knob to right or left to look through previous study.
5. If there is no prior exam to work with, Compare Assistant could still be used. For example, comparing the right side to the left side.
6. Any previous DICOM™ image can be used in the compare assistant package. Previous CT, MRI, Mammograms, etc. can be imported onto machine.
7. Imported images can be from any Vendor. Note: To activate standard dual screen, you must fi rst turn off Compare Assistant.
