Introduction

Using a position sensor attached to the probe, or using a probe with V Nav Inside, Volume Navigation Fusion (V Nav) lets you import a pre-acquired DICOM volume dataset, register the location of the live Ultrasound image with the 3D volume image, and then use the position sensing system to simultaneously show the live Ultrasound image side-by-side with the corresponding multi-planar reformatted (MPR) slice from the pre-acquired dataset. In addition, you can use V Nav as a type of "GPS" positioning marker to track an anatomy of interest.
