Use FibroScan

  • Connecting/Disconnecting the probe
    To connect the probe lead, insert the jack after aligning the red dots.
    To disconnect the probe jack, first pull the jack's spline sleeve back to unlock it, then pull the whole jack back.

     

  • Activate FibroScan
    You can activate FibriScan by a BT key, the user defined key or a keyboard key.

    M+ or XL+ : If you connect M+ probe, the M button displays. If you connect the XL+ probe, the XL button displays. If you connect the M+ probe and XL+ probe, both the M and XL buttons display.
    CAP : Activate the CAP measurement when the CAP option is installed.
    FibroScan Report : Activate FibroScan Report page.
    Delete : Delete a group of measurements in an exam.
    Measurement : Move right or left to advance through measurement results.

     

  • Workflow Example
    Connect the FibroScan probe to the FibroScan module.
    Scan the patient to determine the optimum FibroScan probe placement.
    Press the FibroScan assigned key to activate FibroScan mode.
    Select an exam type (M or XL) on the Touch Panel.
    Put gel to the ultrasound transducer.
    Hold the probe as shown in Picture. Press the probe into the patient. Use the liver targeting tool to position the probe at an appropriate point for measuring.
    Check the pressure indication on the monitor. Measurements may only be made when the pressure indicator is in the green zone. During the examination, the blue LED indicator on the probe lights up when the operator is applying the correct pressure to the patient's body.

     

  • Workflow Example (continue)
    Press the measurement button on the probe. While taking measurements, continuously check that the probe is perpendicular to the skin surface of the patient.
    Repeat the measurement as necessary.
    Press FibroScan Report to end the FibroScan measurement results as a report view. Press the appropriate print key to store the monitor view on clipboard as necessary.
    Gently wipe the excess gel.
